EXECUTIVE CHEF JOHN HARRIS FEATURED IN TAMPA BAY METRO MAGAZINE

CLEARWATER BEACH, Fla. - (April 2008) – Executive Chef John Harris and Rusty’s Bistro, located inside the Sheraton Sand Key Resort were featured in an article titled, “Five Chefs. Five Dishes. Heating Up the Culinary Scene” in Tampa Bay Metro Magazine. The article states that Chef John describes the coined Floribbean cuisine of Rusty’s Bistro as having big bold flavors, lots of citrus, seafood, good produce and influences of jerk seasonings. Harris has been at the Sheraton Sand Key for 19 years and the article gives more background on Harris and some fun facts, including the three key ingredients/spices that he can’t live without, which are the right amount of kosher salt, basil and cold pressed EVOO. Also, Chef John said, “If I didn’t think it would drive my staff away, I’d listen to Bruce Springsteen all day at work.” Luckily for his staff, Chef John wants to keep his 150 staff members around!
