Sheraton Sand Key Resort Upgrades Telecommunications Capabilities in all Guest Rooms
Internet Access Also Enhanced
CLEARWATER BEACH, Fla. - (Feb. 3, 2003) - The Sheraton Sand Key Resort on Clearwater Beach has just
completed upgrades to all guestroom phone equipment, capabilities and access to the World Wide Web.
Each guest room now has two; 2-line phones with one equipped with cordless speaker. In addition,
each room now has high-speed Internet access.
The scope of this $250,000 project included the installation of 140,000 feet of new telephone and
data cables as well as 800 new 2-line Teledex phones.
"We've made a commitment to upgrade our telephone systems in response to our guests' needs,
particularly our meeting groups, " said Russ Kimball, general manager of the Sheraton Sand Key
Resort. "Our guests can now conduct business and maintain communications while attending meetings
at the resort."
Located on 10 acres of white sandy beaches, the Sheraton Sand Key Resort has 390 guestrooms with
private balconies overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The award-winning resort is adjacent to the
renowned Sand Key Park, named as one of the Top 20 Beaches in America. The resort offers a variety
of facilities and amenities including: over 25,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, fine
dining, Suncoast Fitness Center, lighted tennis courts, beach and water activities, shopping, and
area attractions nearby.
