About Us

For over three and a half decades, Sheraton Sand Key Resort has served as the pinnacle of luxury lodging in Clearwater Beach and the surrounding Tampa Bay Area. Over this 35 year period, the only constant has been our ownership, management, and dedicated staff. As for the rest of the resort, it is ever evolving just like the beautiful shores the resort was built on in Clearwater, Florida.

When our 390 room resort was erected, the resort purchased what was then just over 250 sq. ft. of private beach off our sea wall. That original 250 sq. ft. of beach has grown into over 10 acres of pristine white sand, making our resort one of the only resorts in the Tampa Bay and Clearwater Beach area with a private beach. This 10 acres is perfect for anything you can imagine. We suggest a private tented beach party, some team building activities or just a stroll along the shore. When you work alongside our convention and meeting staff, anything is possible.

For over twenty years, our dedicated and skilled meeting and convention staff have been working alongside meeting planners, convention planners, families and brides to ensure your event goes off exactly as you envisioned. Over our lifetime innumerable families and businesses have relied on Sheraton Sand Key Resort to host their convention, social gathering or wedding with many of them returning yearly. Over the years we have welcomed countless businesses into the Sheraton family. The annual Clearwater Clean Coal Technology Conference attracts attendees from around the globe, and has chosen Sheraton Sand Key Resort as its home for over 20 years. The University of Florida’s International Citrus and Beverage Conference has been holding their conference at our Clearwater Beach Conference Center for over 10 years, as well as USF’s Office of Continuing Professional Development which has several meetings a year at our Clearwater Beach Resort. In 2007, Sheraton Sand Key was awarded the Successful Meetings Pinnacle Award, an award that recognizes conference centers, hotels, and visitors bureaus for their commitment to hospitality excellence.
