Meeting planners themselves are the ones who are making this distinction, which gives a credible stamp of approval that others use when deciding where to host a meeting or convention. A note to the GM, Russ Kimball
I just wanted to drop a note to thank you for everything that you and your staff have done for me not just this year, but over the last 17 years. While my time there went quickly last weekend, it was good to see all of my Sheraton Sand Key friends. I was the recipient of the ASJA Distinguished Service Award, recognizing me for 29 years in student affairs, and 22 years with ASJA. In my acceptance speech, I dedicated the award to two individuals. The first was Don Gerhing and the second one being Les Agres. I mentioned that Les is not a member of ASJA, but over the last 17 years he has been a member of the Sheraton Sand Key Resort team who have made a huge contribution to the success of our annual conference each and every year. My dedication received a hearty ovation. In retrospect, I wish that I had dedicated it to the entire staff at your resort. The long tenure and success of all of the great people at the place is a direct result of your leadership and support for the resort. So here is to you, Les, Jack, Bonnie, Chef John, Jon, Brian and of course Peggy upstairs, and everyone else at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort.
